Branding Inital Ideas

For my personal branding I had the idea of just using my hand writing, to me nothing is more personal than that. Mine in particular reflects my practice and me as a person. It's rounded and loose, showing i'm laid back and friendly. That's how I see it anyway. I know a lot of people will be using a typeface they relate to or use a lot for their name because it's probably a easier or the most relatable when concerning their practice. However if I was to do that I think I would probably choose Arial Rounded or perhaps Futura as it's a typeface that I like a lot as well as use.

For colours I'd probably go with Blue and Red because they're to colours I like the most, not because they carry and metaphorical meaning like good work ethic or anything behind them. That's not my reasoning, I unintentionally use red a lot in my work because it's a colour I'm attracted to using the most. Blue contrasts really well against it so I think they're a good mix.

I did some initial drawings to see If I could incorporate my handwritten a's and combine them with a capital g, however I think it just ended up looking like a A still with a piece missing and not been too particularly effective.
I only really just realised that Emily had created a typeface out of my hand writing last year in a group brief, although it was something we didn't use, I think it's good enough to use for doing basic elements such as writing my name out and headings.
