This was a really different crit, with Simon and Amber both commenting onto our work while we all stayed in the room, I think it really worked well, It was great to hear their opinions on our work from an the view point of a user of the product and judgement. The feedback I received for this was positive, simple engaging design, good use of info-graphics and could easily be adapted to be created into a book design using the slides from the app. (below)
Because I couldn't bring my phone to the crit to show the app working in person, and had to bring in sheets of all the designs I created for it, I decided to create a video of it being used (below) to show how it works.
I was really happy it flowed really well and the one thing I would change however was maybe adding in more slides there was a huge selection of facts I could have picked from and If I was to take this further I would perhaps go ahead and create this app in to book form as from the feedback, in doing so expanding on the app too, to add to the content.
I feel like I do well with creating the info-graphics, It was really cool seeing how to translate the information and bizarre facts into graphic images that really explained them well. I did this using illustrator so sticking to what I know, next time I'll use Indesign however, only I didn't this time because I didn't feel confident in something I had to present for in a week.
